Because we are arguing that males and females have different cultures we wanted to take a look at what some of these differences might be. According to our research the inherent differences between male and female culture are the different roles that society holds for them and the ways these roles lead to different communication styles. The stereotypes that men and women grow up with affect the types of ways in which they communicate. We first wanted to take a look at how they specifically differ while men and women are arguing or having normal conversations. Their new styles and remarkable advances led them through the Classical and Renaissance periods. Greece was referred to as Classical Greece during the period of Greek history between 500 B.C.E and 338 B.C.E. This was considered to be a time of brilliant achievement. The Greek culture was certainly changed over this time. The History of the Persian Wars was a work that was considered the first piece if real history in Western Civilization. Many great historians came out of Greece during this time period. Thucydides was one of these great historians. One of his greatest achievements was the History of the Peloponnesian War. Another point to be made about Thucydides was his insight into the human condition. He stated, It will be enough for me, however, if those who want to understand clearly the events which happened in the past and which (human nature being what it is) will, at some time or another, and in much the same ways, be repeated in the future. Other changes came about in Greece during this time. The Greeks introduced drama. The origins remain to be unclear, but historians believe that it was developed from religious rituals. Tragedy was also intended to educate individuals as well as entertain them. Greek tragedies dealt with problems such as the nature of good and evil, the conflict between spiritual values, and the demands of the state or family, the nature of the divine forces, and the nature of human beings. The arts were also going through changes during the Classical Greece period. The standards established by the Greeks were dominated throughout the Western world. Classical Greek art usually portrayed human beings as the subjects and represented them as objects of great beauty.Greece was not the only place that went through changes. Europe went through a Renaissance period, or a rebirth of learning. Education was provided for the clergy and government officials. The strong will for learning led to a revival among the people. Some of the greatest advocates of the Renaissance culture were the popes. Pope Julius II patrolled the culture because he wanted to tear down the old basilica of Saint Peter and begin the construction of the new one in the Christendom.The Renaissance was also an age of recovery from the fourteenth century. Many practices were changed during the Renaissance period including literature, printing, education, and art. This was a collection of stories about a group of pilgrims on their way to the tomb of Saint Thomas of Canterbury. Printing also flourished during this time. In order to help a client to combat his or her depression and stress levels it is necessary to understand the given situation well and help the person accordingly. Proper identification of the problem is hence an extremely important step in crisis and trauma counselling. Situations experienced by the client: The provided case study is about a 34 year old psychologist named Patricia. She has faced the pressure of being a single parent. The responsibility of single-handedly raising a child is quite challenging. Apart from this the client also has responsibilities pertaining to the society. In this connection it can be clearly stated that the client faced significant personal issues. These consisted of being a single parent and tackling responsibilities of raising her son and even the work pressure. Being a single parent, the client is incapable of sharing her problems and getting the required mental and emotional support which can usually be provided by a spouse. The situational issue related to this case is that of balancing all aspects of the clients life. The responsibilities of work cannot be ignored by her and at the same time she does not get adequate rest after fulfilment of all her responsibilities. The client also has an office at her home from where she works late into the night and hence the situation in which she is working are taxing and extremely strenuous (Capuzzi Stauffer, 2016). The environment at work which the client faces during the day is also very strenuous as the organisation which she works in has very less chances of employing additional staff. This also contributes towards her increased stress levels (Gladding Newsome, 2017). Besides this, there is a significant amount of speculation and judgemental attitudes towards single parents which needs to be dealt with in a proper way for which the client might feel stressed or pressurised. Signs and symptoms experienced by the client: Due to the stressful work conditions of the client as well as situational factors, she has upheld certain symptoms related to changed psychological, emotional as well as behavioural patterns. Regarding the physical traits it can be said that the client faced considerable amount of exhaustion at work. The client also indulged in comfort eating at the time of stress which accounted for even more amount of stress related to her body weight. She also suffered from severe headaches due to tension and also had difficulty in falling asleep. Her racing thoughts and random patterns of thinking did not let her fall asleep (Headington Institute, 2017). Emotionally the client started feeling down, low, de-motivated at work and dreaded work. There was a certain amount of distance which she felt from her everyday activities. She also felt extremely frustrated regarding her job and felt that she was deprived. She felt let down and sad at not being given the level of promotion which she felt she desired. The behavioural changes were experienced in her daily response to the other staff members and her colleagues. There was an increased irritation in her demeanour and she felt that her colleagues were irritating. The mails which she sent seemed to communicate the levels of her anger and frustration. The client also felt as if her tasks and responsibilities at work were weighing down on her and her productivity started declining despite the additional efforts which she put in (Levers, 2012). The ways in which the client can improve the situation: The best way in which stress can be managed is by channelizing ones thoughts in a particular direction. A person needs to try to choose one thought over another or tackle one thought at a time which is necessary in case of this particular client as well. In case one thought is focussed at a time there will not be a chance of experiencing chaotic thoughts in ones mind. There also are spiritual solutions to such problems, like meditation and the art of staying calm. The thoughts in the head can be calmed down to a significant extent by regularly practicing the art of meditation. The client can start by devoting a certain amount of time in the morning for meditation and can keep on increasing the time bit by bit in order to calm the thoughts which crowd the mind (Headington Institute, 2017). There also needs to be a support system where the client should be able to reach out to others and share the trauma or sad experiences. In case the client can share the problems with her colleagues she can receive a sense of reassurance which might help her concentrate on her work and reduce the levels of frustration experienced by her. It is advisable that the client works towards building a friendly relation with her son so that they can interact casually and can solve each others problems (Hillman, 2013). The psychological inception of the thought processes of the client needs to be understood by her in order to control the thoughts before they start to occupy the brain. The client can also attend inspirational talks in order to attain peace of mind (Levers, 2012). Conclusion: There are several ways in which victims of trauma or crisis situations can be tackled. It needs to be understood that they should not lose hope and should keep on focussing on the positive aspects of life. When he comes "Between the woods and frozen lake," he finds that he is at a crossroad in life. The speaker ponders what direction to take, whether to live as the moral man that he is, or to take the easy way out by taking his own life. Frost portrays "The darkest evening of the year," as the speaker comes to the end of his road. In the third stanza, while the speaker is giving "His harness bells a shake," he is really contemplating and asking himself if he should go through with the suicide. The restful imagery of "lovely, dark and, deep" provides a simple, peaceful, and calm feeling that attracts the speaker to suicide. He realizes that he had "promises to keep," but we can only hope that he decided to fulfill his obligations to God, his family, his friends, and most importantly? to himself. Miller stressed that people must be held accountable for their actions to society and they will be held accountable by the inevitable justice found in the universe: karma. This theme is expressed through action as well as characters throughout the entire play; it is subtle at first but slowly becomes more prominent until Joe Keller finally realizes exactly how his actions affected people outside of his family. To begin, Kellers character is important to the theme because he represents the opposite of being responsible for his actions and being held accountable to society. Joe Keller seems like a simple kind of man. His greatest wishes are to obtain the American dream for his wife and to create a legacy to pass on to his son. However, he harbors a dark secret that explains how he achieved those dreams for his family- he knowingly shipped out faulty airplane parts during wartime. Up until the time of the play, Keller did not believe he did a terrible thing by shipping those parts out. As he explains, when he came home from jail he was like an expert on the whole jail thing and, over time, the children got it confused and [he] ended up a detective(29). Or, more clearly, he went from being the bad guy to being the good guy. In Kellers mind, he was the good guy because he saved his family from being poor and having their reputations in the gutter. He says to his wife, you wanted money, so I made money(76). To him, he simply did what he had to do to protect and take care of his family. At that point in his life he was not able to see the big picture of things; he was only able to see one little contour, just one small piece, of what makes up the universe. Furthermore, it is evident that Kellers small piece of the universe, his family, is what is most important to him. Throughout the play he tells Chris that everything he has done with the business , including sending out cracked gear heads, was for Chris: it was a chance and I took it for you(70). Keller believed that he had to send out those parts so that he would still have a business to pass on to his son. Chris replies what is that, the world- the business?(70). He is asking his father if the whole world is the business. And the answer in Kellers mind is, as long as it takes care of his family, yes it is the world. Slowly, though, Keller begins to see just what his actions have caused to happen to other people. Take, for example, when he speaks to Ann about her father, Steve. He finds out that Ann and George never visit Steve in jail and that they dont even write to him. Keller is unable to understand why the children would crucify their father and he pleads with Ann to not make a murderer out of him(32). He realizes that Steves life was ruined and his relationships with his children, something that Keller gives very high value to, are ruined as well. It is also easy to believe that Keller doesnt want to see Steve crucified because if he is, that means that Keller should be too. And if Keller was punished for his actions, that means there is something bigger in the world than the relationship between father and son. The whole ordeal with Steve and Steves children gives Keller a clue that there may be bigger things in the world than familial relationships and also that there may be consequences to wrongful actions. Finally, Chris and Larry (posthumously) work to enlighten Keller that theres a universe of people outside and that [hes] responsible to it(84). Chris character alone serves as a guidepost to this revelation. He is the epitome of the idea of responsibility and accountability to society because he is the person that reaches for something he wants but pulls back because other people will suffer(16). Chris takes other peoples feelings and well-being into account before he acts. He learned to be so self-less in the war, as he watched his men kill themselves for each other. He describes it as a kind of responsibility. Man for man(35-36). He learned that you cannot only look out for yourself in this world, but you have to help other people out as well. And Larry, whom Keller thought shared his ideas on the way the world was made (with a forty-foot front), had a good sense that people must consider the good of the many before they act for the few. It is his letter to Ann, in which he states he cant bear to live anymore(83) because of what his father did, that brings everything crashing down around Keller. In the same way Larrys memorial tree came crashing down and allowed more light to shine into the arbor, his letter shined light onto the true ways of the universe. Everything that Keller stood for, everything he believed in was wrong. He finally realized that he did a terrible thing that killed not only strangers, but people who were fathers, brothers, and sons. In essence, he killed the thing he lives for; he killed family. This revelation drives home the idea that justice will inevitably be brought to the wrong-doers. Kellers karma comes back and makes him not only set everything right in the universe again but pay the ultimate price for his actions: death by his own hand. The Sichuan province in mainland china has had a long history of seismic activity. On May 12th, 2008 the village of Wenchuan County located in Sichuan province was struck by an 8.0 magnitude earthquake. According to the State Council Information Office, the causalities from this disaster were approximately 70,000, with approximately 10,000 confirmed to have been school children, whose deaths resulted from 7,000 collapsed classrooms and 18,000 more individuals, were reported missing (Teets, 330). The earthquake which struck Wenchuan County resulted in bringing together relief efforts from local, national, and international communities. A few examples are: Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Volunteer crews, Military efforts, Sichuan airlines, Red-Cross and many donations from international communities. These relief efforts, a result of strong government communication also, led to strengthening the devastated village and the nation of China. The involvement in recovery effor ts strengthens civil society’s individual capacity through mass networks of volunteers and donors, learning new skills in project management, and demonstrating to the government potentially positive roles the community can do. Langerhans cells and macrophages defend against microbes. Anyone can be infected by bacteria and there doesn’t have to be a lot of it in order to be infected. Vibrio cholera is a bacterium that causes cholera outbreaks around the world. Cholera isn’t common in the U. S. anymore bu t you should be careful when visiting out of state. The sun gives off ultraviolet light. Ultraviolet light is what kills the living cells.Nerve endings and receptors function to cause covering skin to prevent further sunburn. Sebum is lubrication of skin and hair. When your body senses dead cells your immune system starts working to heal your body. It increases blood flow in the affected areas, opening up capillary wall s so that white blood cells can come in and remove the damaged cells. The increased blood flow makes your skin warm and red. The nerve endings for pain begin sending signals to your brain. Damaged cells release chemicals that activate pain receptors. This is why sunburned skin is so sensitive.There are ways to prevent sunburn without having to stay inside. Use a sunscreen, which blocks ultraviolet light, or pace yourself so you get a tan first. When you get a tan, your body essentially creates its own sunscreen using special pigment cells in the epidermis. Deep cuts can become infected easily if it is not taken care of properly. Signs of infection are; redness or discoloration, swelling, warmth, pain, tenderness, scaling, itching, and pulse drainage. To clarify on the aspect of lack of the existence of a pure monopoly I will look at some of the market structures which ideologically somehow prove the inexistence of a pure monopoly. Degree of concentration of sellers in an industry: Refers to the number of sellers in an industry together with their comparative shares of industry sales.   When there are a large number of sellers and the number of shares in the market is minimal that in real practice one seller won’t be able to make any impact in the market or try to output any existing competitor. This will bring in another concept of ‘oligopoly’, market situation in which each of a few producers affects but does not control the market. This will somehow dictate how the rivalry among sellers is managed. Product differentiation and promotion This is mostly determined by the consumers of these products in the market, whereby some consumers prefer certain products over others.
